New here, 5G Betta tank
« on: August 19, 2009, 09:04:22 PM »

Hello all,
I'm new to the forum, and the area, and I currently have a 5g tank for my Betta (JD). Anyway, I'm looking for some more freshwater plants for his tank. I have a few java ferns in there, and an amazon sword plant, but they've been in there for quite a while and have run their course. So I'm looking to repopulate the tank with some more plants that might be good in there with a Betta (you know, give him a few more hiding places, etc.). Is there anything kind of "grassy" I can put in here that would do well in such a tank (low-ish/medium light, 5g, you know)? Or any other tank ideas for that matter? Soil instead of gravel? Fire away! Anyway, here's the tank (and that red blur his JD, long exposure):
